A self-study from behind: me at the desk, mid-stroke, the one view of myself I'd never seen until I drew it.

A pencil worn down and kept anyway. Worn hex barrel, chipped paint, one shaving curled off the tip, the line it just finished still dark on the page.

A candle burned down to a stub: proof it got used and stayed anyway.

Cracked wood, the ferrule dented, the tip rounded off. Nothing about it is useful anymore, and it's still in the drawer.
Name the thing you carry. One object you used down to nothing and won't throw away. A pencil stub, a candle end, a bar of soap gone thin, a key with no lock, the pen of someone gone.
One graphite drawing of it, at the size it actually lives at. Signed TJ Riley with the year underneath. One revision, 48 hours.
Deal first, link after. I draw what can be seen, or what you can describe plainly. I won't invent a detail I can't see.
